Shea is one of those dogs that truly has the switch.  She is all business in the field and a lap dog in the house.  She achieved a Prize I in her first NAVHDA Natural Ability test and Utility test. Her desire to please is extremely high and that makes her an easy dog to train.  She is equally excited about a waterfowl hunt as she is about an upland hunt.   Shea has demonstrated the ability to be able to work all day in very warm & dry New Mexico hunting conditions without missing a beat.   We plan to qualify Shea for the 2021 NAVHDA Invitational this fall.     

Trakr named after the dog that discovered the last survivor of the September 11 attacks at the World Trade Center, is a young dog with a fantastic pedigree that we like very much.  He is a very well put together dog with a lot of bone mass and good structure.  In his training sessions last summer, he showed all of the tools to be a fantastic versatile hunting dog.  He has an extremely calm demeanor, but can turn on the juice when you cut him loose in the open field.  He earned a max score in his Natural Ability test, and we almost ran him in his Utility test in the fall of 2019.  Instead, we decided to wait until 2020 to try and qualify him for the 2022 NAVHDA Invitational test, which will be held here in New Mexico. We have little doubt that like his namesake, he will be successful.

We get excited about all of the breed pairings we conduct at Spanish Oaks.  We have decided that this one, however, is going to provide us with the next chapter in the story of Spanish Oak dogs.  We are that confident about this litter.  At Spanish Oak, we strive to produce great looking dogs that truly meet the standard of versatility.  We test for this, and more importantly our dogs prove their abilities in the field day after day.   We fully expect this breeding to produce the kind of dogs that every hunter would love to own.
